Orthopantomography, an orthopantomogram (OPT or OPG), also called a panoramic radiograph, is a dental X-ray technique originally introduced and named by Siemens. It is now a standard method of dental radiography and produces a diagnostically informative image of the patient's upper and lower jaw. It shows all the teeth as well as the adjoining parts of the jaws, both jaw joints and the right and left maxillary sinuses.
