Terms from soft-tissue management to apicoectomy.

Wax model, in the dental laboratory the technician models a wax pattern corresponding to the later crown or bridge. It is placed on a model of the tooth prepared by the dentist and is used to produce the metal casting.

Soft-tissue management, a surgical technique for shaping the soft tissue both functionally and aesthetically.

Wisdom teeth, in many people the wisdom teeth do not sit within the row of teeth and can therefore cause a range of complaints and conditions.

Root canal treatment, in this treatment an inflamed or dead tooth nerve is exposed or removed. The cavity inside the crown and root that previously held the nerve is then filled with special materials.
